You can design whatever you like with the kit – and feel free to add in some of your own do-dads if you like – we don’t mind at all.

and i responded...YES YES YES i would LOVE that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i will be waiting with designing cap on!

here are the results.  (please bear with me, my photo skills need some work and i hope to swap out the poor photos for better ones tomorrow. i just wanted to get the photos up in time for the reveal).
thank you to sheila for allowing me another opportunity to create papercrafts using the highest quality of product that i have ever handled.  thanks to all the creative staff at http://www.scrappingreatdeals.com/home.php for putting together a kit that contains paper and embellishments in a beautiful colour pallette with wonderful elegant designs.
my personal goal was to produce a variety of papercrafts that i could give as cards, hold small gifts, even use as home decor.i hope i have acheived some success and i still have more product left for a lot more ideas still to be crafted from this kit.

acrylic tag

the tag was cut from an acrylic overlay that had thegold snowflake pattern which reminded me of some ribbon in my stash.  i wrapped a gift box in kraft paper and then added the ribbon and tag. to complete this project i wanted to stamp white snowflakes on the wrapping but someone has my snowflake stamp...

cookie tower

looking to link instructions when i find owner of cutfile...found it! check out the talented kasey at her blog http://kaseyskreations.blogspot.com/2009/09/new-cookie-towers.html.
the cut file uses the cricut expression with the plantin or george cartridge.

cake instead of cracker

used tags bags boxes and more cartridge with my expression.  the cake slice could be used in place of the traditional christmas cracker.  the opening at the back end of the slice is where goodies or a small gift could be placed inside the slice. sweet surprise!

snowflakes are from k&co.

spread the love card drive challenge

please read on this is truly an awesome grassroots effort to help a young girl and her father in their in grief...

welcome to the Spread the Love Blog Hop. I have the honour to be the first one on your hop to help spread the love for 11 year old Jaimie Cates, who has been the victim of horrible crime. My dear friends Erin and Denise organised this hop to send Jaimie support during this hard time.

Here is some information about what happened:

"On October 4th, 4 teenagers armed with knives broke into a home in a small town in New Hampshire. Alone and sleeping inside were a mother and her 11 year old daughter. These 4 boys broke into this home with the intent to rob and kill anyone inside. They stabbed the mom, Kimberly Cates, to death and left her daughter, Jaimie, for dead in their driveway. It was a completely random act, their home was chosen only due to its secluded surroundings."

Our hope is that everyone hopping around today will stop for a moment and think about Jaimie and her father and what life must be like for them now. One moment in time has changed their lives forever. We are asking that everyone reading this message please take a moment to make a card and send it off to Jaimie. You can make something very simple or much more involved, but please share some words of hope and love and let her know that people do care and want the best for her. Please send your card to the address below:
